Network Rail begin replanting the railway embankments in Grange Park this week
Network Rail removed hundreds of metres of mature trees from Grange Park earlier this year sparking outrage from N21 residents and local campaigners.

The Deepdene and Merridene embankments have already been seeded with a grass and wildflower mix. Hedging plants have been planted this week and the work is planned to be completed next week when the trees will be planted..

What stage of growth will the trees/plants be at when planted?
The hedging plants will be approximately 60cm high and will be protected with a plastic tree shelter secured in the ground with a wooden stake. The trees will be a round 2m height and will be protected with a spiral rabbit guard. In addition a wooden stake and tree tie will be used to support each tree.
