Chief Executive of Network Rail takes up Grange Park case....

Mr David Higgins takes up The Grange Park Embankment case in this email to N21.net..
Dear Mr Humphrey
Thank you for your eMail expressing concern over the performance of Network Rail at Grange Park.
Let me start by saying that I have taken on board your serious concerns of our performance on this Project & our method of Community consultation prior to the works starting.
It was not up to the standard that I would expect & we will learn from this process.
The issues you raised have been extensively discussed within our organisation at a senior level.
At the Public Meeting on Friday, 11 February, Martyn Wilson explained the background to the civil engineering works that will be carried out on this embankment. Having reviewed the scope of this work with Martyn, I understand the necessity for this work to repair the unstable embankment & its impact on the safety of this high speed line. However, I am also clear that the Community was not made fully aware of our activities.
I understand that there is a meeting of the Enfield local Environment Forum on 1 March which will look at how the revegetation of the boundary between Network Rail & the Community is to be treated.
Chris McDaid, from our organisation, will be attending & we will constructively explore all options to revegetate the toe of the embankment & the boundary to mitigate the impact on your environment.
David Higgins

As many people as possible need to attend the meeting on the 1st March to ensure Enfield council and Network Rail understand the depth of feeling about this issue.
