Lily Day, borne out of a desire to bring the magical world of fairies to life ... by depicting scenes that provide an insight into this intriguing world. Fairy life is steeped in tradition and ritual and thus provides ample scope for creating scenes that offer a window into this secret world.
After completing a Visual Arts degree at Cheltenham Lily Day moved to Ireland, where work on the fairies really began. Lily Day was a member of the Blackchurch Print Studio in Temple Bar and created and sold handmade fairy boxes and cards in the Whichcraft Gallery in Dublin.

Following the birth of her daughter she has continued to illustrate fairies in her spare time which has enabled her to produce this latest series of prints, a series that she sees developing and evolving.
