Baskervilles Tea shop, opens in Aldermans Hill,  Palmers Green N13

Baskervilles, the newly-opened quirky tea shop in Aldermans Hill, Palmers Green N13, opposite Broomfield Park has a distinctly left-bank feel as you walk in to the hubbub of chatting people. With its fresh food and relaxed ambiance it has certainly hit a chord with the people of Palmers Green.

Baskervilles Tea Shop is a great place to have a quick lunch or a relaxing tea with a large selection of fine, real cakes which I have to say, looked to die for !

My husband and I took the quick lunch option.

The service was faultless – there were many smiling young waitresses and a waiter to greet us.  There was an array of different tables to sit at or just settees for the afternoon tea option all with non-matching chairs  - but it worked well.

I had the salad of the day which on that specific day was Greek – my favourite having just returned from one of the Greek Islands – it was well presented with a large crusty bread on the side to mop up the juices at the end.

The drinks menu was varied, with unusual  juices - apple and beetroot standing out.

We chose the safe option of orange and pear and very nice it was too.

The tea and coffee selection was also extensive but we thought we would leave that for another visit when we would try out what looked like their delicious cakes and cream teas.

Lunch cost £11.30 for the meals and two juices and all the food was of very good quality. We would definitely go again !
